  1. The imposed Contract terms – GPC England webinars and feedback opportunity
    This week GPC England are holding three webinars to update you and your teams on the detail of NHS England’s unilaterally imposed contract; one on Wednesday 29 March and two on Thursday 30 March, with the opportunity to tell GPC England how you feel and what you want done about it.
  1. National GP representation – GPC elections *VOTE by 12:00pm this Thursday 30 March*
    With the stalling of national contract negotiations and spiralling pressures on GPs and practice staff across London, the need for a strong professional voice has never been greater. Rather than compromising our core values, sacrificing continuity of care and wringing more out of an exhausted workforce we need effective and confident leadership for London general practice. If you are in the constituencies listed in the current GPC elections remember to cast your vote by this Thursday 30 March. And to work with your local LMC to continue to make the case for more core support for general practice at this time of unprecedented demand and strain.
  1. Local GP representation – Londonwide LMC elections
    As we prepare for more changes to local services and contracts as ICBs find their feet and establish new protocols, never forget that the team of experts and leaders here at Londonwide LMCs are by your side.  Across London, Londonwide LMCs and local medical committees continue to work with commissioners, provider collaboratives, PCNs, Members of Parliament, and others to make the case for general practice. If you want to get involved, all of our London LMCs are holding elections in June/July, with nominations opening in late April. Drop us a line if you want to know more.
