The Health Foundation
- £38bn extra per year needed to revive the NHS [20/6].
- An analysis published by the Health Foundation’s REAL Centre projects a potential £38bn shortfall in the funding needed to improve the NHS by the end of the next parliament.
- The analysis shows that health care funding in England would need to rise by 3.8% per year in real terms – broadly in line with the historic average – over the next ten years to meet rising care needs and deliver significant improvements in the NHS.
Ipsos
- Concern about NHS rises to equal highest since 2020, concern about immigration rises to equal highest since 2017 [17/6].
- The NHS continues to be seen as the biggest issue facing the country, according to the monthly Ipsos Issues index.
- Concern has risen by six percentage points since May, with 41% seeing the health system as one of the biggest concerns for Britain.
- This matches the 42% in January 2023, and previous to that is the highest since February 2020 (44%).
