Final days to vote on GPC England collective action before 29 July

  • Latest news

London GP contractor/ partners have until Monday 29 July to vote in the BMA non-statutory ballot.

This is a timely opportunity to send a clear message to the new Government, if you are a BMA member and GP partner you can vote here. Anyone who joined the BMA prior to midnight on 22 July should have had, or be due to receive, an email from Civica Election Services with a voting link in it. The offer of three months free membership for GPs remains.

At Londonwide LMCs we would also welcome a view from you or the lead Partner in your practice as to which actions you would consider. This will be shared in an anonymised way with LMCs and London GPC England elected representatives. Please complete this short survey (with thanks to Greenwich LMC for their work on this).

The GPC England public-facing communications campaign and profession-facing resources are live, alongside information about a menu of actions which will not breach GP contracts, but which collectively, will have a significant impact on ‘the system’. These actions are indicative and subject to change. GPC England is not recommending which action(s) practices take. It is for each practice to decide as they see fit.

This request is not contrary to BMA advice that LMCs should not help to organise, and will not be asked to call for, collective action or industrial action beyond the scope of that specifically called for by the BMA.

If you have any questions, please email: gpcontract@bma.org.uk.
