EMIS CrowdStrike update

  • Latest news

EMIS are reporting that their "service is restored", the extent this proves to be the case will only become apparent as the days progress.

The NHS App is reported to be functioning normally and EMIS go on to say: “Whilst our services are recovering, there may be some performance degradation which may continue into Monday. Please avoid any activity that is not absolutely necessary, in particular, please delay any search and reporting activity until at least Tuesday.”

As you may have seen, various sectors and industries are rightly being financially compensated for loss due to the crisis. The same should apply to the NHS, as the GPCE Chair made clear on X/Twitter over the weekend. So do keep a record of, and receipts for, all excess costs and losses, including staff time, as a result of this outage.

NHS England’s press notice tells patients to attend appointments as normal unless told otherwise and the BMA says it will take general practice a while to recover from the impact of the outage.
