Concerns remain regarding the leadership and financial management of the General Practitioners Defence Fund (GPDF). Rather than planning activity, we need to focus on and address what are widely believed to be strategic leadership and governance issues, and to ensure that the Fund’s financial management is robust and re-aligned with its core purpose. The benefit for London GPs and their teams must be clear before further resources are committed to the GPDF for the 2023 financial year.
As you know, the GPDF announced that a Members meeting will be convened before 21 November and asked for “LMC’s input on anything particularly important in advance of the meeting”.
