Londonwide LMCs Chief Executive succession

Dr Michelle Drage, our current CEO, and Dr Sid Datta, our Board Chair, welcome Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell taking up the post of CEO in Spring 2025.

“As we prepare to take a much needed break, I want to share my delight at the Board’s decision to appoint Dr Lisa Harrod-Rothwell as my designated successor as Chief Executive of Londonwide LMCs, following a rigorous process,.

“Lisa and I have worked closely together for 8 years to ensure that our Londonwide family of staff, LMCs and constituents receive the support, the guidance, the information and the strategic leadership that is so needed in these incredibly taxing times.

“From leading our support to PMS and GMS practices during the great PMS review, enabling £100m of resource to remain in general practice, and masterminding our response to the pandemic from the start, Lisa has been instrumental in developing and embedding our current corporate goals and objectives. As both Deputy CEO and Lead Medical Director she has deepened our cross-team working, reflected in our 5 year strategic plan, to ensure that everything we do is focussed on meeting the needs of our constituents. And she has ensured that the Londonwide family continues to influence the NHS and political systems within and beyond London with the aim of securing the future of general practice in the capital … along with much much more!

“I can think of no one more qualified in this country to pick up the baton for the Capital’s GPs than Lisa. We, you, the Board and the GPs and practice teams of London are all exceedingly fortunate to have her. I’m sure you will want to join me in wishing Lisa her all due congratulations, and wish her well in her new role.”
