Championing general practice in Camden
At Camden LMC, we’ve been working tirelessly behind the scenes to support and advocate for our GPs. Recent work includes extensive interface collaboration with Clinical Interface Groups (CIGs), engagement with Public Health, and raising concerns about the implementation of Long-Term Conditions Locally Commissioned Services (LTCs LCSs) and PMS funding for practices. We’ve also been actively reviewing the NCL Digital Strategy and providing critical input on various clinical pathway reviews. Your LMC is working hard to ensure general practice remains robust and supported.

LW LMC’s GP Support Team provides expert, confidential and bespoke advice and support to individual constituent sessional GPs, GP partners and practices in difficulty. You can contact the team via email at [email protected].

Our current priorities
Looking ahead, our focus remains firmly on issues that matter most to Camden’s GPs. These include securing sustainable funding through LCSs and PMS Premiums, tackling challenges in implementing LTCs LCSs, and enhancing the interface between primary and secondary care, including Mental Health. We are also working closely with Camden Council to address social care concerns and practical issues like GP parking permits. Engagement with our local GPs, PCN Clinical Directors, and GPPA representatives is a priority to ensure your voices are heard and acted upon.
