Fit note certification extended to nurses, pharmacists and physiotherapists

From 1 July 2022 nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists, and physiotherapists are able to certify fit notes, which previously only a doctor could do. This follows on from the removal of the requirement for physical signatures on fit notes introduced last month.
